Freelance Curatorial Services - Austria
I have a Degree in History and Art History, an MA in Shakespeare Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Museum and Gallery Studies from St. Andrews University, Scotland. I was the Guest Curator at The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon for a year. I then became the Curator of the Holst Birthplace Museum in Cheltenham, and the high point of my career was when I was appointed as the Keeper of Art at Torre Abbey in Devon. I launched an ambitious contemporary art programme beginning in 2009 with Antony Gormley's Field for the British Isles, working with the Arts Council Collection in London and the White Cube Gallery. In 2010, I again worked with the Arts Council Collection and the Tate National to bring Damien Hirst's Mother and Child Divided to Torre Abbey. Nearly 500,000 visitors saw these two summer-long exhibitions.

In January 2024, I recorded the Audio for the Celtic Museum in Hallein. But I am especially proud to be involved with the Monastery at St. Paul in the Lavanttal Valley, as the Lavnattal Valley is where I now live. I provided the English voice-over for their Audio Guide app, which is provided by the company Vienna based company Hearonymus. The Abbey welcomes thousands of visitors annually. You can listen to the audio guide when you visit or in the comfort of your own home.
In 2018 I curated the Exhibition 4 Lenses 1 Brush at the Stadtgalerie in Wolfsberg - four photographers, Daniela Grössing, Daniela Vallant, Teresa Cancola, and Martina Schmerlaib, all graduates of the Academy for Applied Photography. And one visual artist, Valentina Track. The world-famous musician Edgar Unterkirchner took care of the musical entertainment.
